Since its establishment in 1963, Killaloe Sailing Club (KSC) has grown into a vibrant community dedicated to fostering a love for sailing among all age groups. Nestled on the picturesque banks of Lough Derg, KSC has been providing a safe and supportive environment for family-friendly small boat sailing for the last 45 years. As an Irish Sailing accredited training centre, the club is proud to offer a range of activities that cater to both beginners and seasoned sailors.

KSC boasts a strong membership base with an active junior section. The club offers comprehensive training programs for juniors and adults, including popular junior training camps held during the summer months. Whether you’re looking to learn the ropes or refine your sailing skills, our experienced instructors are here to guide you. Racing and leisure sailing sessions take place three times a week throughout the sailing season, ensuring that there are ample opportunities for everyone to get out on the water.
The club’s recent development initiatives have significantly enhanced our facilities. Members can now enjoy warm changing rooms and hot showers, making the sailing experience even more comfortable. For those without their own dinghy, KSC provides club boats, wetsuits, and buoyancy aids, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate.

A Dynamic Fleet and Exciting Events

Killaloe Sailing Club is home to a vibrant fleet of ILCA lasers, Fireballs, and RS boats. These classes offer something for everyone, from competitive racing to casual sailing. The club is delighted to be associated with the West of Ireland Offshore Racing Association (WIORA) and is thrilled to be featured as the Club of the Month, showcasing our commitment to excellence in sailing. KSC has been training and feeding the West of Ireland Regatta Association with many skilled sailors and is delighted to maintain this long-standing association.
